24/04/2014 – The house in the Japanese Prefecture of Shiga, bears the signature of the FORM/Kouichi Kimura architects. The site on which it is located, is situated in a corner to a residential area with the mixture of old houses.
The outer appearance is 'lonely' and is induced by the environment that surrounds it, from which it differs by its functionality.
Enter through the front door you used to have access to a room, separated by sliding doors. Ventilation grid the form is placed in a rectangular pattern, rhythmically, like a music room. The sliding door connects the bedroom, the entrance and the corridor are close, as well as the functioning of a single room, expanding it visually.
The second floor is the living room and dining room, which can be used in various configurations. The room is bounded by a wall for the support of double height, as an element of division, it creates a sequence of spaces and fascinating light effects.
The light slits through the ventilation filter and the surfaces of the wood alternating with soft and warm colors of the walls. It kisses the room softly by using a comfortable feeling.
