You have chosen a camping trip and would like to plan it. What are the advantages and disadvantages of camping, and how should you prepare? Here are our practical tips.
Planning a camping holiday – at home or abroad?

At first glance, planning the ideal of camping holidays starts with one question: where do you want to camp? In your own country or abroad? If you want to stay close to home, first look at the region. Pay close attention to the weather. Think about whether you would like to fish or would rather hike. Find out how far the nearest village is from the campsite, and plan how you will get there.
Camping – choosing the campsite

If you want to try camping abroad, you can contact campsites directly and make reservations, or ask a travel agent to help plan a camping trip. In any case, find out in advance where you can see a doctor if needed. Even for a cold, it can be important to have someone nearby who speaks German. If you want to camp with your dog, ask about the rules separately.
Organizing a camping trip – plan your journey

Once you have chosen a campground, you can start packing. A checklist makes this task easier. Write down everything you want to take: first-aid kit, accessories, kitchen utensils and tent. Do not forget to bring an empty list for the return trip; it will be useful when packing at the campsite. If you are planning a hike, weigh your full backpack in advance and check whether you can carry it for a long time. We wish you a wonderful and relaxing holiday in nature!
