Architecture firm Gluck + renovated and refurbished a typical row house in New York City. The unusual new metal facade attracts the attention of passersby. Behind it is a vertical library that extends from the ground floor to the roof. With its rectangular facade openings, the house creates a striking contrast with the surrounding buildings.

The renovated row house is harmoniously adapted to its setting. The front looks especially attractive against the background of brick walls. The unique facade design creates a dialogue between interior and exterior, adds structural support, and connects the house in New York with its environment. At night, when the facade is illuminated, the delicate structure is particularly emphasized.
A New York home offers generous privacy
The conventional house in New York with a relatively narrow, four-story street frontage has been transformed by Gluck + into a private urban residence. Inside, the new interior is warm and inviting. Cozy seating areas indoors and in the yard provide plenty of space to relax. The lounge has been designed with great transparency, and natural light floods the room throughout the day.
The generous living room opens onto the garden
The living room, dining room, and kitchen offer a generous view of the garden. At the rear of the house, the ground floor has been extended outward. To maximize light transmission, an interior staircase with glass railings leads visitors to the upper floors.

Metal and glass facade design
The building has been redesigned to meet new residential needs and provide comfortable living for modern families. Unnecessary elements have been reduced throughout. The doors are frameless, and the floor is made from warm, high-quality wood. The minimalist forms are echoed in the color scheme, which is reduced to beige, white, and brown.
