Japanese design studio Nendo created a series of minimalist furniture for the Italian brand Bisazza. The collection was presented at Milan Design Week 2012. Founder Oki Sato designed the exhibition to show the various possibilities for the bathroom with Bisazza. To create a sense of intimacy and a personal experience, angular shapes remain consistent throughout the series. To avoid a feeling of heaviness, larch is used for the bath and sink set. The warm beauty and high quality of the material contrasts with the solid forms.

In addition to the bathroom furniture, Sato also developed two tile models for the brand, "Kumo Cloud" and "Hana Flower." Both reinterpret traditional Japanese symbols as modern mosaics. One bench is covered in Carrara marble glass mosaic, combining the grain of marble with the texture of small squares.

Oki Sato notes that Japanese bathing rooms were once places of communication, where families bathed together and public baths were common. Today, bathing feels much more private. The series of minimalist furniture expresses that privacy while preserving a sense of shared connection.
