A house with a wooden facade in Brazil shows the versatility of teak. To protect the glass facade from the sun, the architects chose movable wooden screens. The wooden structure recalls oversized blinds and can be adjusted as needed. These large shutters are motorized and operated by remote control.
House with wooden facade in the Brazilian landscape

The house with wooden facade was designed by the Brazilian studio Jacobsen Arquitetura. Located in Porto Feliz, in the interior of São Paulo state, the house offers a magnificent view of its surroundings. The open plan and low building create a seamless connection between indoors and outdoors. Three patios provide more than enough seating for family and friends. An outdoor pool invites residents to cool off on hot summer days. The wooden facade can be adjusted to let sunlight and fresh air inside. Thanks to this creative solution, the house feels open and airy, and the plan allows natural cooling without air conditioning. The structure is reinforced with a natural-stone base.
House with wooden facade fits into the landscape

The house with wooden facade is organized as a T-shaped composition with connected volumes. One area contains the living room, dining room, small kitchen island, and a comfortable lounge. The bedrooms and bathrooms are located in the more private section. The wooden facade provides privacy while keeping the architecture visually light. The sleeping areas face a second courtyard near the top of the hill, framed by the volumes of the house. It is a place where residents can relax and enjoy life in the middle of nature without giving up the comfort of modern architecture.
