During Advent, beautiful Christmas decorations, tinsel, and lights give homes a festive atmosphere. In many families, the party begins when everyone gathers to decorate the Christmas tree together, a tradition often associated with the 19th century. Early decorations included homemade popcorn garlands. Today, garlands, ornaments, ribbons, and LED lights are available in many styles. To decorate the Christmas tree quickly and beautifully, it helps to follow a clear order.
Christmas decoration – step 1 – lighting

We have already shared tips for buying and storing the tree. The first step is to bring it in from the garage. Leave the tree in a warm place for about 20 minutes, then you can start decorating. If you want to have fun decorating the Christmas tree, LED lights are a must. Begin hanging the lights from the bottom up.
Christmas decoration – step 2 – garlands

There are no fixed rules for how garlands should be arranged. They can be wrapped around the tree or hung vertically. For maximum effect, combine two garlands, swags, or ribbons. Paper garlands and ribbons are especially popular. The important thing is to choose a design that works with the ornaments and light string.
Christmas decoration – hang the Christmas tree ornaments

Sort the Christmas decorations into two groups. Larger Christmas balls, angels, and stars should be hung first. Smaller ornaments can then fill the gaps. Our advice: hang some balls close to the trunk and others near the ends of the branches so the tree looks full.
