The discreet family home, designed by Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter, combines contemporary architectural trends with local construction techniques.

The modern dwelling consists of four separate volumes, each designed differently and adapted to the natural conditions of the site. From each angle, a different view is revealed. The building contains comfortable sleeping, living and dining areas. Clearly defined zones provide privacy. The focal point of the 130-square-meter house is the kitchen island. The interior walls are clad in warm wood and finished with concrete elements. A recessed seating niche and extra space in the basement give children room for relaxation and inspiration.

Wood surrounds the building volumes and gives the house a warm, welcoming look. After a few years, the material develops a gray patina, helping the home blend with its surroundings. The split-level views reveal the beauty of the surrounding nature.
