At EuroCucina 2014, Italian kitchen manufacturer Toncelli unveiled its new high-tech kitchen, "Invisibile". Based on an idea by Studio Carlesi Design, the kitchen uses carbon fiber not merely as a finish, but as a structural material. Commonly associated with the automotive and aerospace industries, carbon fiber is lightweight, heat resistant, mechanically strong and resistant to chemical agents. By using this material in an innovative kitchen design, Toncelli expands the boundaries of what is possible in kitchen furniture. The exceptionally thin countertop and cabinet structures would be difficult to achieve with a more conventional material.

The new high-tech kitchen stands out for its extraordinary design. The doors are finished with liquid metal paint, giving them a refined silvery sheen. Cabinets and drawers have no handles and open through a special system, so the clean overall image of the kitchen is not disturbed by unnecessary details. This white, solid elegance underlines the precision of the design. The kitchen is equipped with touchscreen technology and an internet connection. It also includes an audio system that distributes sound through the surfaces for 360-degree amplification. Overall, this is a remarkable design that may point toward the future of kitchen interiors. With this project, Toncelli reaffirms its commitment to innovation while preserving Italian craftsmanship and excellent quality.
