Today I invite you to discover an interview with Celine, interior designer and editor of the blog Frenchy Fancy.
Can you tell us who you are and how you fell into the world of decoration?
First of all, thank you for welcoming me on For Interior. I am Celine, 25, passionate about design to the point of making it my work and running my blog, Frenchy Fancy. I fell into the world of decor early. My mother is an artist, and I think my attraction to beautiful things comes from that.
How do you manage your blog every day? How much time do you spend each week?
I spend a lot of time on it, several hours a day. It is simple: the research I do for the blog is also useful for my projects, so it is two in one. But it is true that it becomes very difficult to stop.
What are your inspirations: designers, blogs, shops, magazines?
My inspirations are everywhere. I look a lot at what is happening around me: a photo, a fabric, a film, or anything that catches my eye. I constantly write down ideas in notebooks.
I also love books and magazines in general. I read AD, Elle Deco, The Lab, and Milk, and they are all filled with bookmarks in different colors.

In terms of design, I recently discovered the work of Justin Lamont and fell completely in love with it.
What is your favorite room at home?
For the moment, I have not found my ideal home. I like my apartment, but I am not fully satisfied with it. I do love our office, which we have just redesigned because we both now work from home. It is very bright and has a rather pleasant amount of space, so we spend almost all day there.
Your furniture: modern, ultra-design, family pieces, vintage?
Our current furniture does not really suit us yet. We love beautiful things, both for their materials and for their history, so we take our time finding the right pieces. We love industrial and vintage styles, but also simplicity and clean lines. I am passionate about design, and there are many iconic pieces I dream of owning. The ideal is a mix of all of that; I love eclectic interiors.
What is the most unusual or unexpected object in your home?
That is a difficult question. I would say a diplomat statuette that my father brought back from one of his many trips to Africa. It is funny because these figures are animals dressed as humans. Mine is a hippopotamus carved from yellow wood, wearing a suit and a hat. I love the contrast between the elegance of the outfit and the humor of the situation.
An object or piece of furniture you could not part with?
Another difficult question. I would say my cameras. I recently tried film photography, and I find the object itself so beautiful that it stands on a shelf in my office. I love it because it is rich in history and has belonged to my mother since I was very small.

Next to it is a vintage Polaroid whose design I love. It also means a lot to me because a friend gave it to me a few weeks before leaving for Canada. She had bought it at a flea market, and I like the idea that an object passed from hand to hand is now here with me.
Your latest favorite purchase for the house?

A decorative piece you think will never go out of style?
A particular decorative piece, I do not know. However, I think clean lines and noble materials such as wood and marble are timeless. No matter how they are used, their authenticity and character always remain valuable.
