Wooden house – excellent modern architecture
The wooden house makes full use of its landscape. The building sits on a narrow plot, which posed a major challenge for the architects. On one hand, they wanted to use as much available space as possible; on the other, the owners wanted a garden. The solution creatively connects house and garden, allowing summer living to flow outdoors. The interior impresses with its use of natural materials. Wood dominates the rooms and softens the severity of the concrete elements. The warm color of the ceiling contrasts with the white floor. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring plenty of light inside and open the house toward the garden.
Wooden house – compact stairs create an elegant interior
The highlight of the interior is the space-saving staircase that connects the ground floor with the second floor. Wooden elements and glass railings create a visual connection inside. Structural steel elements ensure stability. Thanks to the original concept, enough room is left below for a comfortable living area, while the bedrooms are arranged above. All windows overlook the garden, which is protected from the street by a tall green wall. A small pond and native plants make the garden look natural and inviting. The wooden house is a project by Guz Architects.
