Do you want to renovate your house and are looking for inspiration? We present a project by Givonehome in which tradition and modernity are skillfully combined. The architects were commissioned to completely remodel a Victorian building. The result gives the former dark interior an open, light-filled living space.
Renovating the old house – the facade was completely rebuilt

The house is located in a beautiful area: to the south it borders a small river, while the east side overlooks the forest. Yet the residents could not fully enjoy the setting because the small windows of the old facade allowed too little light inside. Givonehome decided to open up the entire east side, so the owners can now enjoy the breathtaking scenery. The ground floor was also rebuilt: interior walls were removed and one open living space was created. The walls were painted white and the concrete floor was sealed, while the old support beams were preserved. The eclectic combination of polished and rustic materials draws attention. The living area is sparsely furnished with a white kitchen, cooking island, and long wooden dining table. Most of the budget was spent here, but the architects wanted not only to renovate the ground floor of the old house to renovate, but also to improve the upper level.
Renovating the old house – small changes with a big effect

Anyone who has ever renovated an old house knows the challenge: unexpected costs often appear at the last minute. With a little flexibility and creativity, however, these difficulties can be overcome. In this case, all rooms and bathrooms were painted white, new black laminate flooring was installed, and antique furniture was restored. The result is a minimalist interpretation of traditional country style, where past and present meet. Very impressive!
