This application of interior design has a very special purpose. This pirate decoration is not in a nursery; it was designed for the CT scanner room at Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York. The concept helped make the space less frightening for children. The children examined every day in the hospital are between 1 and 16 years old.
