The chair design "Manta" by Hakan Gürsu won Silver in the A' Design Award’s 2012-2013 Furniture Design Award category. A' Design Award is an internationally recognized competition for designers, innovators, and companies that want to attract the attention of media, publishers, and buyers.
Chair Design Combines Three Different Materials

The chair was inspired by manta rays and has a unique look with elaborate lines. The concept combines structural elements made of wood, steel, and plastic, using the materials in harmony rather than creating an eclectic effect. The transparent plastic seat is available in a variety of colors. Thanks to the spiral shape, the chairs can be stacked easily. With one wooden leg forming the back and spine, the design of the chair follows a minimalist approach and aims for a light, simple look. It is a prestigious object with pleasing aesthetics, suitable for home or office environments.
