Designer Laia Fuste has created a collection of design objects for cats and people to use together at home. Called CLUC, the collection includes a food bowl, a bedside table that doubles as a house, and a toy.
Design objects for cats and humans – the Cluc Collection
We live together with animals: dogs, cats, birds and more. We share our homes with them, sleep near them, play together, travel, care for them and learn from one another. Companionship is an important part of our lives, and our pets often reflect our image and personality. That is worth remembering when we design objects for them, especially objects we can share. Useful items for people can also be adapted for pets, with respect for their morphology and psychology.
Soft shared design objects for cats and people
CLUC collectible designs for cats are designed not only around feline psychology, perception and morphology, but also around the shared lives of pets and people. These hybrid objects serve both parties. The collection focuses on three materials – olive wood, basketry and pottery – and was made by three artisans in Alt Empordà, Catalonia: a weaver, a potter and a woodturner.
