This unique seating design, called Folly, was created by designer Ron Arad for Magis. Its clean lines and soft curves turn the bench into a sculptural object inspired by the three-dimensional form of a Möbius strip.
The Magis bench with elegant geometry

Folly was first shown as part of a Ron Arad exhibition. The bench can be used indoors or outdoors, and its polyethylene construction allows the flowing geometric form to remain durable and practical.
Folly turns seating into art

The design tests the possibilities of polyethylene in industrial design. Although Folly has the presence of an exhibition piece, it can also work as a garden bench or as seating for public spaces.
