Dahm Lee is a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg, and the designer’s work caught our eye. The furniture and sculptural objects have a simple design but embody clever ideas and practical thinking. The first project is called Square. Its form and function cannot be easily defined; instead, the user can decide how to interact with it. It was inspired by ordinary square and rectangular objects in the designer’s room. For this reason, Lee wanted to bend and twist regular geometric shapes to create something different.
Sculptural furniture and functional objects

With colorful rubber bands wrapped around the main steel frame, the sculptural piece not only adds visual interest to a room, but also gives the user freedom to define its function. The design can be used, for example, as modular shelving.

"Dami and Damaki"

The German designer’s second project is called "Dami and Damaki" – a bar stool with storage space. It solves a common problem: where to put your jacket and bag in a bar without leaving them on the ground. They can be stored easily under the seat. The sculptural furniture is made of steel rods and wrapped elastic. The choice of materials provides both stability and comfort.
