We present an interesting wooden table: a model named Colander that was brought to market by the Italian producer Riva.
Wooden table creates an exciting play of light and shadow in the room
The peculiarity of the wooden table is not its form – the furniture has clean lines – but its material and detailing. It was developed in cedar wood. A small detail transforms the table, which appears plain at first glance, into a work of art. Several small holes are drilled into the tabletop, allowing sunlight to pass through and creating a fascinating play of light and shadow in the room. The wood is specially treated and polished so that it visually resembles cholla cactus wood, a material often used for lamps and home accessories. The desert inspired the designer of the project.
The production process is fully automated, so each table has the same quality. The model is available in two versions: round and rectangular.
