A small wooden summer house was built in the industrial area of Moscow. The client wanted a multi-functional recreational area for the summer months, where he came with his family, partner or friends invite to the party and can work alone in silence and meditation. The project Khachaturian Architects offers all in one.
Timber summer house overlooking the forest
This place was deliberately chosen – away from the noise of the road and near the forest. The goal was to limit the visual contact with the nearby factory and a panoramic view of the natural landscape. The whole shape of the house supports this concept, because each side has turned a corner in particular to preserve the intimate atmosphere inside the house.
House has a birch wood
The basement of the house is a rectangular terrace. The architecture divided into three zones. The first is an open space, overlooking the mill and houses the entrance. The center of this area is a tree, which is used as a sunscreen in the summer. The other two compartments are sealed from the factory. The slope of the roof is designed in such a way that there is a continuity of the facade. The west facade is divided diagonally to create a milder form.
asymmetrical facades
The whole wooden house in summer is marked by its structure. There are no hidden structures. The main building material is natural wood that can withstand the harsh Russian climate. The facades of wood slats are attached with polycarbonate structures. During the day, depending on the movement of the sun, light and different models of cell shade is satisfied.
