Decorating an apartment that combines practicality and aesthetics while mixing styles is absolutely possible.

Here, the boxes are used as storage spaces and to shape the top of the stairs, creating a small transition area. Bright red furniture energizes the overall result.

Brazilian architect Alan Chu managed this without disturbing the harmony of the space. He brought together a very modern setting (red furniture, anthracite tones, and a glass railing) with retro-style objects, such as an old payphone and neon signs reminiscent of those seen in bars.

A mix that is as surprising as it is fun!
