This art sculpture was created by the students of St. Joseph in Macau. The plant was made of bamboo and white similar coatings covered awning. The design is reminiscent of a bamboo gazebo with spherical shapes and a ramp made of bamboo. The sculpture is a temporary facility and is located in the Plaza Sai Van.
Sculpture Art bamboo with embedded LED lights
These bamboo art sculpture was built by students in the third semester of the Saint-Joseph University of Macau. The pavilion structure is constructed as a bamboo poles in a lattice structure. The system is provisional and will remain on the Sai Van place between January and October 2013. The pavilion can be visited at any time and provides a sound and light show in the evening unforgettable. At the bamboo structure LEDs were mounted lights that shine with different colors and are driven by motion detectors.
The bamboo art sculpture in Macau – Design and construction
Design students have designed the art sculpture. They also took part in the construction themselves, but were supported by local craftsmen who have had experience with such constructions like bamboo. This modern facility was built structures in Macau through other interesting architecture and is part of the entire casino culture. The LED lighting system is hitting the face of the evening in the city very well and is an interesting attraction for visitors
