If you want to impress your guests, decorate the autumn table with a festive floral centerpiece. Floral and event designer Nathan Johnson shows how simple it is to make your own fall floral arrangement. Many of the elements in this glamorous composition can last for two to three months. Hydrangeas, succulents, scabiosa pods, eucalyptus branches, and leaves keep their color for a long time. Follow the steps in this tutorial to create a dramatic centerpiece with natural charm.
DIY autumn floral arrangement – materials:

– Rose shears, knife, floral foam, small metal bowls, wood slices, gold spray paint
– Eucalyptus branches, purple leaves, PeeGee hydrangea, artichokes, Finesse roses, scabiosa pods, and small green succulents (Echeveria is used here).
DIY autumn flower arrangement – instructions

1. Spray a eucalyptus branch evenly with gold spray paint on a large piece of cardboard. Be sure to cover the top of the plant, not only the sides. Always use spray paint outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.

2. Place the floral foam in a bowl of water and let it absorb the water naturally; do not force it under. Then cut the floral foam into three equal parts.

3. Insert the pieces of foam into the small metal bowls. If necessary, secure the foam with adhesive tape. Start with the hydrangeas. Remove the leaves and cut the stem ends at a sharp angle before inserting them into the foam.

4. Add the artichokes, purple foliage, and pink Finesse roses by trimming the stems so that only the flowers are visible in the arrangement. Add more hydrangeas as a base. Keep the arrangement lower than 30 cm so guests can talk comfortably across the table.

Arrange your table decoration
1. Place the wooden slice in the center of the table. You can stack the slices to create a little height.

2. Set the floral arrangements on the wood and add scabiosa pods for texture. Autumn-red leaves are always a good option. Place larger succulents at each end and smaller plants on the plate.
