At first glance, it looks like a giant bird's nest that floats among the trees. Cocoon Tree is a lightweight, waterproof and affordable suspended treehouse-bed tent hybrid. You can assemble it yourself in about two hours, or have it installed by a team of experienced climbers working under the guidance of Cocoon Tree founder and creative director Berni Du Payrat. What makes it even more attractive for nature lovers is that its air-conditioning systems can be powered sustainably by solar and wind energy.
A luxury treehouse tent and hanging bed

Cocoon Tree is a spherical aluminum frame that weighs only 140 kg. Secured with ropes and nets, it has 12 locking points for both hanging and lateral stability. It can withstand up to one ton of weight. Inside, a round mattress and custom quilt can accommodate two people or a couple with two young children. The comfortable interior is protected by a durable, waterproof exterior coating in a natural color, and the designers also added mosquito nets and curtains.
Inside the Cocoon Tree hanging bed tent

There are different Cocoon models designed for different uses. Cocoon Tree works as a treehouse, while another version is equipped with a table so you can enjoy the view from above. Cocoon Beach is made for vacationers by the sea. The Jungle version is covered with a synthetic material that mimics bamboo and offers stronger protection against extreme weather, although it adds about 70 kg. A support frame for installation on solid ground is also optional.
