Laucala Island is a private oasis east of Taveuni, Fiji. The island is about six kilometers long and was owned by the family of media magnate Malcolm Forbes until 2003. Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz later acquired it. For the resort’s redesign and detailed planning, he commissioned Lynne Hunt London and Scape Design Associates to create a luxury resort with exclusive villas, supported by the wider design team.
Exceptional Villa Resort in the South Pacific

The retreat has long been a favored holiday destination for celebrities and high-profile guests seeking privacy. Here visitors can settle into quiet surroundings and enjoy a deep sense of peace. The villa resort keeps a discreet profile and offers privacy from the press. It includes 25 exquisite villas that blend into the island landscape. Each retreat was carefully shaped by the design team. Luxury amenities include five restaurants and bars, Asian-inspired cuisine, the Plantation House Restaurant, a golf course, a pool bar and beach bar, a spa and wellness center, and Seagrass Restaurant.
