We have already written about the talented French architect and designer Mathieu Lehanneur. This time, the focus is Rain, a blown-glass lamp designed by Lehanneur for Fabbian Illuminazione, a piece that sits between art object and functional lighting.
A Transparent Blown-Glass Lamp
The lamp resembles a glass cloud floating in the air. Lehanneur presents rain as a paradox, and the design draws on cloud-like forms supported by precise steel hardware. Up close, the piece impresses through both its elegant shape and its subtle lighting details.
Originality And Function
Clear white glass and LED lighting create the impression of bright sunlight after rain. The effect is visible as soon as the lamp is switched on. Rain is available as a ceiling fixture or as a suspended lamp with a cast-aluminum metal frame.
