One hour from Sao Paulo, a single-family house with a pool was designed and built for a young couple with children. Studio Arthur Casas drew inspiration for the project from the region’s exotic natural beauty and aimed to open the house to the surrounding landscape.
House with swimming pool and a modern facade

The L-shaped plan visually divides the building into different zones. One volume contains the children’s and parents’ rooms, the living room, a home cinema, and a gym, while the other includes the dining room, kitchen, and bedrooms. The facade is richly glazed, and large sliding doors connect the living room with the adjoining patio. Natural tones help the house blend into the landscape, while wood ceilings and floors create a warm connection to the nearby forest. The pool offers welcome cooling on hot summer days.
House with swimming pool and modern interiors

Inside the new house with pool natural colors and materials dominate. Leather furniture and comfortable benches form a seating area where family and guests can relax. Wood, leather, and fabric upholstery shape the interior, while thin stone slabs on the ceiling support the overall concept. It is a dream home in the heart of exotic Brazil.
