We present a minimalist house with a roof terrace in Japanese style. The project by architect Sou Fujimoto is named House K and has a seamless connection between architecture and nature.
Roof terrace in Japanese style: exciting project by Sou Fujimoto
Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto’s studio specializes in houses and small-footprint designs. His projects are always innovative and create a visual link between the natural environment and minimalist architecture. Often, the building is seen as an integral part of the landscape. Especially in Japan, where urban space is very limited, construction is difficult. To solve the problem of limited light, the architects richly glazed the house facade and incorporated dormer windows into the design. The sloping roof connects the garden with the roof terrace in Japanese style. Large white pots and even a small flower bench offer the family the opportunity to relax outdoors.
Japanese-style rooftop terrace offers a magnificent view
The minimalist house is designed so residents can enjoy a beautiful view of the city. The entrance is made entirely of glass and lets plenty of light into the living room. The interior is also marked by white: the built-in kitchen furniture, wall color and floor are all white. Dark blue chairs refresh the dining room. The highlight is, of course, the roof terrace. At night, it is illuminated by light from the house through the roof window. The pots are also fitted with small lights. Narrow but very practical: this is how the house with a Japanese-style roof terrace can be described.
