Head Road 1815 is a project by SAOTA Architects located in Fresnaye, a suburb of Cape Town, South Africa. This house on the side of a hill with a magnificent ocean view sits high on the site and offers breathtaking views.

The clients, a young couple, wanted a house with dynamic and surprising architecture. The guest house is separated from the main living area. The terrace overlooks Fresnaye to the north and west. Because the plot drops steeply down the hill and road-height restrictions affected the building form, the house was lifted on stilts.

The house has three floors. The first floor is the main living level, with a large lounge and dining room opening onto a covered terrace and outdoor pool. The kitchen is positioned to enjoy a breathtaking view through the glass roof. The second floor houses the master bedroom, dressing room and a bright, spacious room overlooking the pool below.
Amazing infinity pool
The interior is pure white, creating an atmosphere of purity and elegance. Metal surfaces and glass accents enhance this radiant effect. The refined amenities include an imported German kitchen, large granite floor finishes and floor-to-ceiling frameless glass windows.
