This bathroom, part of a house in Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, was renovated by Minosa Design. The small bathroom was transformed from an ordinary, dated space into a modern, bright bathroom with additional light sources and stylish accessories.

The designers faced several challenges during the renovation. First, they had to decide how to conceal the plumbing while working around the round window. By building a false wall, they solved both issues: the pipework could be recessed, and the window became a real focal point. The wall was then finished with selected Bisazza mosaic tiles.

A full-height cabinet was placed in front of the new wall structure and covered with a mirror. This created both a generous mirror surface and extra storage. The cabinet includes a shelf and a switch outlet for electrical appliances, keeping devices safely away from water.
Magnifying mirror

The shower was the next hurdle. The solution was to create a raised floor and suspended ceiling. Glossy tiles make the room feel larger, while vertical LED lighting lets the tiles sparkle with a pearly sheen.
Beautiful pendant lights

A slim, flat basin was chosen to support the clean linear look. LED lighting was installed beneath the sink to accentuate the space and create a sense of depth.

Layers were applied to the two columns to create an optical illusion, while adjacent pendant lights maximize the bright effect. This modern bathroom renovation is a good example of how clever use of glass mosaic, mirrors, and light can give a small bathroom real glamour.
