Lighting in the garden is as important as lighting inside the house. A sophisticated lighting system highlights key areas, helps avoid tripping accidents and can completely transform the outdoor space. The front of the house should therefore be well lit. Ground-integrated lamps are perfect for stairs. The following rule applies: plan at least one lamp for each step. If you have a retaining wall, you can install an LED strip along it, ensuring that your guests will see it. The garden pool cools you off during the day, but at night the pool can be dangerous. Illuminate not only the pool itself, but also the wet and slippery areas around it.

With the right choice of lighting in the garden, you can ensure that the various zones in the garden are clearly defined. Our advice: combine multiple lighting systems. LED flower pots can subtly delineate the garden terrace, and lamps can be mounted along the garden path. Lamps and lights mounted at different heights create interesting garden accents. Lighting systems with motion detectors save energy and protect the home against theft. Solar-panel lamps are very efficient, but you should know in advance whether your region gets enough sun to power them. Otherwise, the lights may illuminate the garden for only half the night.
