The Ukrainian studio Olga Akulova Design created the concept for this KENZO-style renovated apartment. The client, Svitlana, had seen the team’s work in interior magazines and in a friend’s apartment, then decided to commission an individual interior of her own. The result is a generous, tastefully composed apartment in Kyiv.
Modern renovated apartment in Kiev
The renovation work began in 2012. Non-load-bearing walls were removed to reshape the apartment, connect the rooms more clearly, and improve circulation. High-quality natural materials, including wood, metal, and concrete, give the contemporary rooms a refined, lasting elegance.
With a dream of KENZO
The living area was divided into several zones with sliding doors by Rimadesio. Existing concrete columns separate the spaces and add an industrial note, while a stone island by Modulnova anchors the kitchen.
KENZO-style apartment renovation
This beautiful apartment in Kyiv is defined by strong forms and contrasting materials. Glossy white poured-polymer flooring looks slim and polished against the natural texture of the porous concrete columns. Wood surfaces on the balcony and kitchen ceiling add warmth, while a small interior garden combines European and Asian influences.

Renovated apartment with impressive interiors
The B&B Italia sofa area, metal wall shelves, and two-person breakfast table with metal legs designed by Olga Akulova give the living space a refined, tailored feel. A vertical garden in the hallway is reflected in a mirror wall, bringing greenery deep into the apartment.
Cozy balcony with a beautiful view of the city
Sliding glass doors bring in abundant daylight and open onto a sheltered balcony overlooking the street. From there, the owner can see the Dnieper River, the Dnieper Hills, and the green slopes leading toward Andreevsky Church.
A harmonious mix of textures and materials
The Poliform marble table behind the sofa can serve as a console, a work desk, or an occasional dining table.
