Reusing a crib in the home office
An old crib can have many other functions, so there is no need to store it in the basement. Make a desk for the home office by placing a sheet of glass on top. A dismantled side rail can be used as a book rack or magazine holder. Bed springs mounted on the wall can serve as vintage bulletin boards for small notes and calendars. If you saw one side of the crib, it becomes a great play table for kids or an office surface. You can also cover the tabletop with chalkboard paint. Another interesting idea for the nursery is to build a little theater for dolls.
Repurpose an old baby’s bed
The old bed does not have to stay in the nursery. Turn it into a bench for the front porch, a raised herb planter in the garden, or even a serving table made from the bed rails. A crib can also be reused as a beautiful swing.
