A small apartment that is practical and still has a personality of its own can seem almost impossible. But talented designers can provide functional interior solutions when space is a luxury in a city apartment. Maurício Karam Arquitetura appears to have solved the familiar problem of limited space.
Designing a small home with high aesthetic standards

The small apartment in São Paulo, Brazil, was conceived as an open living space dominated by stylish accents. The 60 m2 apartment is divided into functional areas, and function guided the choice of furniture and materials. Bright white surfaces and counters give the apartment a sleek, fashionable look. A compact, asymmetrical minimalist office was placed along the wall beside the dining table. Together with the white cabinet, it forms an organic unit and impresses with its compact design.

Mirrors are known to be ideal for designing small spaces. In the Leopoldo apartment, a fashionable wall mirror makes the room feel larger, airier, and more spacious. Transparent chairs reinforce the impression of depth. Light and dark wood wall cladding and laminate flooring give the interior a fresh, natural look.
Brazilian Apartment – design solution in a limited area

Many closets in the bedroom and kitchen help keep the appearance clean and reduced. Heavy curtains in darker shades provide more privacy and a sense of security. Strips of light are harmoniously integrated into the ceiling, giving off discreet and pleasant illumination. Decorative accessories add individuality and complete the fashionable interior.
