
This modern concrete house with a flat roof, called Bunker House, offers a peaceful retreat tucked away from prying eyes. The modern bunker, built in 2011 in a suburb of the city of La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina, covers a total area of 286 m2. It incorporates the existing nature and offers a strong sense of privacy and security.

Behind massive concrete walls hides a comfortable haven of peace and relaxation. The house with a flat roof is designed with a contemporary style. The interior has been designed with a large open plan kitchen with lots of glass, so that you can experience the connection with nature. The upper floor is cantilevered and made a covered entrance.

The house consists of two components – a bunker rush, solid, tight and almost impenetrable, and a living space open embedded below. Rigorous geometry defines living spaces. The glass walls to improve communication between the interior and the exterior. The whole house has such an expressive dynamics.
The construction gives rise to an effective play of lights

Konzipier was Bunker House Estudio Botteri-Connell as a home for life, where the kids have a lot of space to play and where guests and friends would like to stay. Glass light structure goes against the massive overhanging top. Penetrating through the spaces between the two buildings organizations beams run slowly like a real sundial and leave incredible Lichspiele arise. The feeling of serenity and security is enhanced by groundwater.
