In the project “Follies modern” in the south of France Montpellier architect Sou Fujimoto of Japan has designed a futuristic skyscraper that impressed with her looks extravagant. Inspired by a tree, the 17-story “White Tree” should be close to nature and at the same time give a Mediterranean atmosphere. The impressive residential tower is located on the banks of the River Lez – to the point where the ancient and modern city life converge.
Futuristic skyscrapers that resemble a pine cone
“It is to live in a house like living in a tree,” says top Japanese architect. His futuristic skyscraper should be a white tree, but it seems rather to think of a pine cone. For the structure of the “White Tree” Fujimoto has worked with the young French architect Manal Rachdi OXO and Nicolas Laisne Architects.
Residential tower inspired by nature
The form of the futuristic building is reminiscent of a pine cone – similar to the scale are fundamental to the construction of large balconies in all directions. In a residential tower of 17 floors up, for a total of 120 children aged between three and four bedroom luxury offices, an art gallery, a restaurant and a rooftop bar with panoramic terrace.
