Wooden play structures resemble three high nests
The nest-like structures at Sun Bird Park were built in December 2013 and quickly became an attraction for children and adults. Various kinds of wood were used, with non-toxic finishes made from oil, wax, and resin. Stainless steel elements help support the gently curved wooden ribs. The construction feels airy and open, yet it remains strong enough for active play.

The playground in Vail was also designed to be accessible to children with disabilities.
