Second Hand Shop, De Bilt, NL Architects of BYTR

How beautiful: a second-hand shop whose interior design is not second-hand at all.

Or at least, almost not. BYTR Architects from Rotterdam clearly had a lot of fun with this project. For the Emmaus shop, they built a wall shelf from old tables, cardboard and transport crates. A galvanized cable duct was turned into a chandelier, creating pleasant indirect light. The rest of the store is painted bright white, allowing the goods inside to stand out. It shows how convincing a simple idea can be when it is well executed.
