BenchArc. A wooden bench from the Designer Yazan Hijazin founder Anknownymous in Amman, Jordan, designed. In his approach, it combines two contradictory characteristics such as movement and stillness. On the one hand, the design embodies a tree, on the other hand – it seems that the remains of an old wooden ark. Of course, the legs and branch support plate straight wood with a real bronze and copper finish. The BenchArk is 3.5 meters long, which emphasizes its strong presence and demands attention in a large room.

The inspiration for this piece comes out of the room for which it was designed – an art gallery. It is the only exhibition for visitors to the gallery. You can sit and watch the different paints or be in constant motion. The designer wanted to settle the only furniture in the environment. Not only functional but also creative and unique. On the other side, visitors are fascinated by the wooden bench, because they have a common element – the contradiction. The contradiction is a sign of maturity, says the designer. Therefore, he wanted to represent the relationship of movement and stillness.

The natural movements of the legs are combined with a modern, minimalist line. This is evident in his other drawings where it merges, minimalist modern aspects with contemporary classical curves. The combination of wood, bronze and copper in some original way, mainly because the metals in their real form of powder. Working with the metal powder has been very difficult because it took a long time to get the desired look.
