We present an award-winning Japanese project: a modern wooden bench designed for use in public places. Made from five different types of wood, the seat not only offers an attractive look, but is also very comfortable and practical.
Contemporary outdoor wooden bench for public buildings and parks

The wooden bench named Ripples was designed by Japanese architect Toyo Ito in 2011. Made from walnut, mahogany, cherry, oak, and ash, the bench fascinates with its ornate seat and architectural appearance. The garden bench consists of two modules, which can be combined according to the conditions of the area or space. Thanks to its original design, the seat was awarded the prestigious Compasso d'Oro.
