The Wings House , a modern house by K2LD Architects, is divided into two adjacent forms on a triangular site. The trapezoid opens toward the rear of the plot, inviting Singapore’s lush tropical climate into the living areas. A garden is framed by the adjacent roof forms, while the covered terrace offers a comfortable place for afternoon relaxation and gatherings.

Inspired by traditional Malay architecture, deep roof overhangs allow cool air to move through the interior. The double sloping form adds a modern touch while providing shade and protection from seasonal rain.

The space between the two forms creates a high-ceilinged dining room, while the upper floor and terrace bring light into the home. Recessed lighting emphasizes the rising lines of the sloped roof. Burmese teak covers the underside of the roof, while dark chengal timber is used for sun protection along the facade. The vertical blades echo nearby tree trunks.
