Designer Paul Heijnen presented a modern floor lamp with an insect-like presence. The lamp was shown in Milan in connection with Rossana Orlandi and the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum. A video of the design appears below.
Contemporary Floor Lamp – Hyperion

The contemporary floor lamp, called Hyperion, is assembled from different components. The individual elements are laser-cut oak. The parts are connected so the lamp can be placed in different positions. Named after the god of light, Hyperion is a unique work of art and shows how unconventional design can find a place in interior decoration. Instead of hiding the structure and mechanical function, the lamp openly reveals them. Rossana Orlandi presented the lamp as part of an exhibition at the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum in Milan, a 19th-century family home with preserved interiors and an art collection.
Contemporary Floor Lamp With a Minimalist Design

The modern floor lamp Hyperion is one of the first pieces in a series of installations, and Heijnen has high hopes for a six-meter construction, this time in stainless steel. The structure was planned for Dutch Design Week and for installation at the center of Piet Hein Eek in Eindhoven. The project was still in the design phase, but the concept already made clear that the light source would be mounted inside. In that sense, Hyperion remains faithful to its name: an observer from above.
