16/01/2014 – For the interiors, designer Matteo Nunziatiworked with the company Natevo on one of the apartments in the Zaha Hadid CityLife residences in Milan. Natevo, the new brand created by Flou, produces a complete range of furniture with integrated LEDs able to fully illuminate the spaces in which the pieces are placed.
For the CityLife apartment, Matteo Nunziati designed the furniture and accessories, while Natevo developed the lighting project.
The designer explains that the aim was to create a beautiful, modern atmosphere with furnishings that are essential on one hand and emotional on the other. The products were inspired by the philosophy of the German Bauhaus, where functionality, precision, beauty and elegance coexist. The common feature of the furniture is the use of straight, decisive lines that create a strict geometric framework for libraries, cabinets, dining tables, coffee tables, armchairs, chairs, beds and wardrobes. The lights are placed inside tubular forms, creating a pleasant contrast between the geometry of the structure and the soft, indirect lighting. Traditional and elegant materials such as aluminum, wood and marble are used for the furniture, creating a balance between old and modern, contemporary lines, innovative technology and surfaces that carry memory. The studio’s special feature is the search for balance between aesthetics and functionality, poetry and concreteness, feeling and practicality. In this sense, the project feels particularly close to interior design and urban living.
The apartment arranged by Matteo Nunziati is the first of three apartments in the Zaha Hadid CityLife residences furnished by Natevo. The company decided to entrust two other apartments to different architecture studios, each with its own language, to offer several solutions for the new brand’s products.
The second apartment is furnished by Studio Viscido of Salerno, chosen for its extraordinary openness to change and flexibility, as well as for the boldness with which it carries out eco-compatible and sustainable projects in close dialogue with clients, dreams and passions.
The Istanbul studio Ton?r and Architects was selected for the third apartment. The professional team promotes a sense of space and the use of light as a form of art, with a signature style expressed through modern narrative, classic references and skillful use of precious materials in restaurants, luxury residences, shops and prestigious hotels.
The residences by Zaha Hadid and Daniel Libeskind in CityLife were among the first completed apartments in the entire development area.
