The Polish design studio ABADOC has introduced a new design project: the wooden LED floor lamp “Woobia” that resembles a ladle. The toy spoon the team leader’s son was playing with served as an inspiration for this piece. The shape has been modified and refined during the design process, in which the texture of wood was preserved.
Led lamp with adjustable shade
Woobia are distinguished by their elegant, smooth surface and a unique design. For the manufacture of the lamp body, the design team chose alder high quality handles and Connect – Stainless Steel. The lamps are equipped with an LED bulb that is safe, environmentally friendly and energy efficient.
Functional interior lighting
The lampshade is made of alder wood that was machined on a lathe. The modeling of the body of the lamp in hand consists of small blocks of wood in the form of small squares that have been glued together. Knots, and natural wood structure was perhaps learn to enrich the sophisticated look. The LED lamp has dimensions of 40 × 49 cm and a height of 160 cm and is very versatile.
Rotating Shade
The natural look of Woobia offers a perfect synergy of modern and traditional elements, creating an LED lamp that is also equipped with wheels and can be moved from room to room as you wish. The creation of the design is a central part of the device and a real eye-catcher.
Unique light
ABADOC Design Studio creates interesting design objects of wood, which are distinguished by their unique appearance and functionality. Original forms are sought to achieve the solutions modern design seeks to provide. The studio’s designers are usually inspired by natural forms. The use of two equal elements and modern and traditional techniques is a prerequisite for achieving results. ABADOC also attaches great importance to environmental requirements. Universal application, as well as the reliability and ease of use are therefore achieved.
