The Cargo Scandinavian kitchen was designed by Kaisa Luukkanen for the Carpenter Collective and handmade by skilled craftsmen. The natural beauty of the materials and the simplicity of Nordic design bring Scandinavian style to your kitchen.
Scandinavian kitchen Cargo by Carpenter Collective

The first kitchen design is made of light wood – modern, minimalist, and highly functional. Notice how compactly storage space is arranged. Instead of large cabinets that block the entire kitchen, this design uses a compact unit with many drawers, cupboards, and shelves for utensils and kitchen appliances.

The second design is a modular kitchen with an island, located in a 100-year-old wooden house in Hyttikortteli. Mobile units and spacious storage make life in the kitchen easier. Handcrafted solid-wood units offer many storage options. The simplicity of these designs makes them both elegant and comfortable, far from standard mass production and unnecessary showiness. The Cargo Scandinavian kitchen is available in solid wood such as birch, oak, alder, or ash.
Light wood and stainless-steel tray

The solid-wood table with one drawer can hold the most important utensils. A chopping board and knife are integrated into the drawer. The sink is large and paired with a multifunctional Vola KV1 faucet. A Gaggenau gas stove, induction cooktop, or combination of both is available. The table can be equipped with a cooktop or sink; without appliances, it can also serve as a side table. The counter is 1.5 mm thick stainless steel, a little thicker than what is typically used for kitchen countertops. The steel parts are handmade in Finland.
