The Israeli designer Hilla Shamia has always been interested in unusual combinations of materials and in the contrast between design and natural color. During Milan Design Week 2012, the talented Israeli designer presented her latest furniture pieces: a wooden table with metal frame. The innovative tables were produced from logs. A log is placed in a special mold and cast with aluminum. The molten metal forms the structure and bonds with the wood. Once the piece cools, unique designer furniture is revealed. The tables and chairs are perfect for minimalist interiors and are well suited to both houses and apartments.

The end result is a fascinating blend of rustic and minimalist style. The wooden table with metal frame connects the two approaches in an eclectic piece of furniture. The objective of designer Hilla Shamia was to blur the boundaries between nature and industry. She managed to develop unique and elegant designer furniture. The table is full of contrasts, and the boundary between wood and metal is clearly visible. However, the combination is very effective and seems both tough and elegant. In recent months, the collection has been expanded with several chairs and stools.
