We present an excellent example of an apartment renovation – a ground-floor flat has been completely renovated and given a minimalist look.
Apartment renovation – small apartment in white
The ground-floor apartment is situated in an old residential building in Athens, Greece. The compact home has an area of 85 square meters. The architects were asked to design a modern interior. The apartment renovation was carried out in three stages: first the living area was reorganized, then the walls, ceilings, and floors were refurbished, and finally custom furniture was produced for the space. To make the living room appear more spacious, the designers chose a restrained color scheme. White makes the room seem larger and brighter. A clear layout and space-saving furniture make the best possible use of the available area. Built-in LED ceiling lights and industrial-style decorative details complete the concept.
Apartment Renovation – minimalist white interior
After the apartment renovation, a living area with a clear layout emerged. The heart of the home is the kitchen. It is visually separated from the living room by a wall shelf and a small office area. A seating area with a sofa and coffee table offers the opportunity to relax after a long day at work. The room is modestly furnished, but very comfortable. A brick wall creates a visual link between the traditional facade of the house and the interior.
The color palette is simple but very stylish: the black cabinet and wall contrast with the white background. The bathroom, fully clad in gray granite tiles, feels chic and elegant. The NL design architects kept decoration almost entirely to a minimum.
