21/03/2012 – The summer-house is designed by the Norwegian Filter architects is located in Skåtøy, an island in the archipelago of Kragerø, on the South coast of Norway.
The starting point of the conception of thecottage was since 1940 is now lazy. The new project is on the basis of the old hut, but the customer wanted a holiday house that was "open" to the beauty of the Islands and at the same time the privacy of the outdoor facilities.
The house is located opposite one of the colleagues from the audience, so it was important to protect the building of self-observation and avoidance of the privatisation of public spaces. The main entrance is a pier with views of the ship. The topography is reflected in the section of the building and consists of two volumes, one with the cabin resting (sleeping area) is equal to life, the equivalent of cutting the volume of long hole area. These volumes are organized and create a private outdoor area on the upper floor connected by a private outdoor area in the lower floor.
The buyer wanted a house of zero maintenance in a building with untreated wood, masonry, cleaning, and sedum on the roof.
