The Hub 67: The Social Centre Built with Recycled Material

13/07/2015 – Built from materials recycled from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in London,  LYN-Workshop, with the support of the local community, designed the London social center Hub 67.

The decision to reuse material from the Games fits the temporary character of the building, which was designed to be used for three to five years.

Hub 67 is the result of an innovative approach to design and construction, but it is also a high-quality project. Dialogue with the local community was essential to creating something new with a strong identity.

Residents contributed to the design and construction of the building’s facade and several interior elements, including the central chandelier.
