We present a minimalist house with a conservatory, where indoor plants are used as decoration. The family home by MM++ Architects is located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and the project combines modern architecture with nature.
Minimalist house with winter garden – indoor plants as a room divider

The house with a conservatory was built on a very small plot, yet it needed to accommodate a young family with three children. MM++ Architects responded by creating an imaginative indoor garden at the heart of the home. The building is divided into two volumes: the first contains the living room and kitchen, which are connected as one generous living area and visually separated by a small porch. The conservatory is planted with greenery at different heights, while two narrow but very long roof windows bring plenty of light into the room. The second volume contains the parents’ and children’s rooms.
Minimalist house with a veranda and smart layout

The project was inspired by nature, and indoor plants play an important role. They serve as decoration while compensating for the lack of outdoor garden space, creating a pleasant atmosphere where the residents can relax after a long day. The entrance follows the same concept, with tall plantings that provide privacy. This house with a conservatory shows how modern architecture can create a close relationship with nature.
