López Duplan Arquitectos presents a new project. This architect-designed house is located in Polanco, Mexico, across from a park, with changing views of the leafy treetops. The home has a practical, well-organized plan. Its warm, informal atmosphere supports comfortable everyday living and gives the interiors an inviting mood.
House in Polanco – charming interior design

The architect-designed house is finished in rich colors and textured wood, creating a clear connection between the different areas of the home. The plan includes a bedroom, living room, bathroom, kitchen, and a library that offers enough privacy to serve as an extra room when needed. Because the entrance hall receives little natural light, the designers treated it with strong color: the ceiling was fitted with lighting and the walls were painted an intense red. With the exception of the kitchen and bathroom, the floors are covered in light wood.

The intense color of the entrance visually connects it with the other living areas. In the living room, a neutral palette lets the bright red furniture accents stand out. Accent lighting draws attention to selected pieces and highlights the modern interior architecture, while pendant lamps work as decorative elements. Photo books and collections add a personal note. The renovation gives the designer house by López Duplan Arquitectos a polished, spacious atmosphere for its owners.
