Insólito Boutique Hotel: In The Footsteps of Brigitte Bardot

12/07/2012 – Octávio Raja Gabaglia is the Brazilian architect whom Emmanuelle Clermont-Tonnerre called to design her beach house in Búzios, the Insolito Boutique Hotel , an exclusive property included in the selection of Design Hotels™.

Búzios is located on the northern coast of Rio de Janeiro, 176 km from the city, and is one of the most sought-after destinations for tourists and the Brazilian and international elite. This corner of Brazil still has its original charm, and at its heart remains the small fishing village that Brigitte Bardot fell in love with in the 1960s, making it one of her favorite holiday places.

Insolito Boutique Hotel is a modern-style hotel that always feels at one with nature. Social responsibility and a commitment to sustainable business are essential to the owner. Accordingly, all the hotel’s furnishings are products by Brazilian companies, made only from certified wood, recycled paper, or other responsibly sourced raw materials: a quiet protest against deforestation.
